height = greatness ?

Looks like people associate height with greatness. Short people who do nice things are smart; but not great. Height may be one of the important components for our forefathers'  devotion to people from north-west.

  1. What is the basis of this conclusion?

    When talking about generals, rulers, sportsmen etc. whose greatness is partly due to their physical strength, height and muscle power are often praised. Which are the other places (like scientists, inventors, statesmen etc.) where people praise height?

    Don't we say "Napolean the great"?

  3. I think there are some studies which link corporate success rates and height. The number of tall people at executive management level in corporate America is disproportionate to general employee height ration it seems. I remember reading about this in one of Daniel Goleman books or Blink.
